The dining hall faced the main road, from where this shot was taken. You can see the barriers with the 'closed' sign, a very sad sight at the time. The white entrance kiosks next to the dining room were an Amtree Park addition and were not there when the camp was Butlins. This particular entrance was the south entrance. It was originally the main entrance for all patrons of the camp, while the north entrance was used for employees and services etc.
