The Monorail

This photo shows the monorail station, located opposite the Princes Building. Above the Amusement Park Arcade sign is the roof of the indoor funfair. On the far right is the front of the souvenir shop. This was one big shop!! Back in the '80s Butlins memorabilia was still being made, and was sold here. You could buy just about anything, and it all had the Butlins logo. The back of the shop opened on to Gaiety Green. It has since been split into several small shops including Everydays Supermarket.
