The Gaiety Building is in the background to the left, and the Regency Building is to the right.
The figure-of-eight monorail crossed over the funpool.
The woman in pink trousers, on the right, is my mum.
The columns & beam with rainbows on them supported the monorail. Very colourful!!
This giant golf ball & tee was about 12 feet tall. This photo was taken from the chair lift.
This photo was taken at the back of the camp. The chalets in the background are Yellow Camp self-catering chalets. We stayed in these in 1980 (M105) and 1984 (ZH106). These chalets have since been replaced with Gallery Apartments. The area is now called Oyster Bay. The metal pylon towards the middle of the picture is one of the supports for the chair lift. The chair lift station was just behind me as I took this photo
By 1984 the monorail was used for advertising. This one promotes John Player Special.
The Windsor Building is in the background
This is the other monorail train. It advertised Skol lager
