Carol Reed remembers the swimming pool breaking Back

Bognor Butlins had a glass bottomed swimming pool, we could sit in the coffee bar and watch the swimmers.

The winter Social Club was open for a couple of years, and one day the glass cracked and the water all came out of the swimming pool, the fire brigade came and if you were lucky were carried out by a nice fireman. This was something like 1963'ish.
