Although the administrators and moderators of Butlins Memories will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. (developers of vBulletin) will be held responsible for the content of any message.
Posts
When posting a new thread or replying to an existing thread please use full sentences with no abbreviations or text talk such as plz thanx etc…
We encourage all members to check the content and spelling of their posts prior to posting a new thread or reply.
Signatures
From within your ‘User CP’ (user control panel) you can edit information about you that other forum members can view. Signatures can be created which will appear at the end of each message you post on the forum. Images can be included in your signature no bigger than the Google banner at the top of the page. Links to external web-sites can also be added however links to external sites of a commercial/business nature are not permitted. All signature content should be kept to a minimum so as not to detract from the messages being posted on the forum. Moderators and Admin may review signatures from time to time and remove inappropriate content / external links to commercial/business web-sites. If you believe that content has been removed from your signature without good cause by a moderator you may refer this to ‘Admin’ whose decision shall be final.
Advertising/Spamming
We are happy for external links to be included in posts where it is relevant to the actual conversation/thread being discussed. Any posts that include external links that are not deemed to be relevant to the thread will be deleted.
Do not disrespect moderators.
Be respectful in both the forums and any private communications with moderators. Moderators are volunteers that donate many, many hours of their own time to help in the forums. Violations of this rule will not be tolerated.
Moderators are here to help in any way they can. Moderators have the right to edit lock or delete posts without prior notice that violate the rules.
A moderator's decision is final. If you continuously argue with members of moderators, or respond rudely to warnings, then more warnings can and will be issued. If you wish to complain about a warning you have received, PM one of the Administrators (admin).
Moderation actions are not up for debate or public scrutiny. Any topics or posts intended to question moderator actions (whether justified or not) will be closed/deleted and the member will be dealt with, usually leading to suspension or removal from the boards permanently.
If you have a question/problem regarding a moderator action, the proper process is to send that moderator a Private Message (PM) in a respectful and non-demanding/non-threatening tone. Abusive PM's sent to moderators will result in temporary / permanent banning of the sender. If you cannot reason with a moderator, please contact an administrator (BMAdmin). Do not contact an administrator (admin) unless you have first attempted to resolve the matter with the moderator.
Do not involve yourself in arguments or flaming threads with other members. Opinions will inevitably vary amongst the member population on these boards. If you end up saying something you shouldn't have, we'll have no choice but be forced to suspend/remove you. Many previously banned members have come to regret what they have said in these situations and there is nothing we can do for them after the fact. If you see others bashing/fighting, report the post to us, do not let your emotions consume you. Do not involve yourself and risk your account.
We reserve the right to temporary ban and ultimately ban for life members who repeatedly break the rules.
By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws.
The owners of Butlins Memories reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason.
