Pre-War Skegness Back

Summer 1936

Thanks to Joy Jordan for supplying this scan of a postcard. The photo was taken in the summer of 1936 & shows Joy's late father, Leonard Wingfield (09/02/1913 - 23/11/2001) who is fourth from the right on the back row. Joy tells us, "It was his first visit to the seaside at the age of 23 - he enjoyed the holiday very much, particularly as he was keen on sporting activities."
