M Smyth remembers working at Minehead in the late 1970's Back

I came to work at Butlins Minehead in 1977 as a chef after working in hotels in Gurnsey. But, following my then girlfriend there I was in for a big shock, the food was not what I was used to but I got stuck in and became head chef in retail sales. I even stayed on till after Christmas and done another season. Me and the girl split after the first season. I went home to Belfast then back 2 weeks later. I fell in love about a hundred times more! My 2nd chef was called Beth from stoke I wonder what happened to her? I am still cooking, having worked over Europe and some parts of the world. I still have fond memories of my time at butlins, I wonder if they would have me back?
